Quayle's Starcade

A childhood dream come true, and no need to mither my parents for endless 10p pieces either.

The cabinet itself was a precut blank pack from Arcade World UK, and I designed the vinyl applications as well as the control panel, bezel and marquee. It's got a Raspberry Pi 3 inside it, running two USB Zero Delay encoders for the authentic Sanwa control sticks and buttons. The screen is an old VGA 4x3 flatscreen monitor, and the sound comes courtesy of the guts of an old Logitech speaker system.

The plan is to upgrade it at some point fairly soon with new innards, so it can run the more demanding arcade titles - think Sega Naomi stuff, and Dreamcast emulation would be nice too.
